Ontario Area Meeting: Irrigation How-Tos

26 July 2017 - 26 July 2017

In this industry, nurseries strive to manage their changing irrigation needs. However, how do we address the issues of overwatering and underwatering? How do we implement the information gained at water seminars into our regular watering practices?

Come join us on Wednesday July 26, 2017 to discuss successful irrigation practices.  Get your registration form HERE.

You are invited to attend an engaging educational program at the Warwick Community Centre (7074 Egremont Rd, Watford, ON) and enjoy tours of Ontario nurseries and propagation facilities. Our morning seminars highlight irrigation with a focus on the implementation of the transpiration model and other water management practices. Additional talks will address innovations and boxwood production in the industry.

Enjoy lunch at the Warwick Community Centre before touring family-owned Sipkens Nurseries and Garden Centre, specializing in perennials for the wholesale market. From there tour Roelands Plant Farms Inc and witness a state of the art vegetable propagation facility. Lastly, follow up with a visit to Hillen Nurseries Inc. Situated on 350 acres and producing roughly 1 million plants annually, Hillen Nurseries Inc. is continually expanding and improving their production. It’s an action filled day that is sure to be a great learning experience.
