Molesworth Field Trip
17 Feb 2023 - 19 Feb 2023
Update 28th January - registrations have now closed as we have reached our maximum number
Itinerary
Friday 18th February

Head north to Kaikoura visiting Jeff Elliotts Nursery at Amberley en route
Overnight in Kaikoura
Saturday 19th February
Travel from Kaikoura through the unique Molesworth Station to Hamner Springs
Sunday 20th February
Traveling from Hamner Springs finishing up at Christchurch Airport at 12 noon
Warning: the road through Molesworth to Hanmer is very windy, most likely very dusty and very limited toilet facilities enroute. If you do suffer from car sickness this may not be the trip for you!
However if you can come, you will have a good time, looking at lots of different native and exotic plants and if the weather is good, amazing vistas. We will be stopping regularly along the way to look at points of interest.
We may or may not get into Hanmer Springs for a swim that night, time depending, but bring your togs if you wish.
You will need to book your own accommodations at Kaikoura and Hanmer Springs.
You will need to book early as accommodation are tight at this time of year.
We have not held rooms, but both have a range of accommodations available at this point in time.
We have capped registrations at 18 pp
